Day 40

We woke to a grey drizzle after a quiet night gently rolling on anchor.  No wind again as we motored northwest towards the Odet river.  Eventually the sky brightened and the slightest of breezes set in and we were able to ghost along in peace under sail after the rumble of the engine had died away.

The Odet river is beautiful but does have a fierce current which made manoeuvring tricky as we picked up a mooring buoy for the night. Once securely moored and the boat packed away for the night we could relax with our customary beer and selection of French cheeses.
