Day 43 & 44

Yesterday we walked further into town in search of lunch and provisions for the boat.  There's nothing left of the old city after it was flattened during the war but the docks are still impressive stone structures.  The old submarine pens are off limits in the naval area.  We did take a cable car across the river to the maritime museum but the queues stopped us from going in.

Today we drifted over from the marina to Anse de l'Auberlac"h, a quiet bay in the northeast of the Rade de Brest - all of 5M but it took nearly four hours giving us plenty of time to enjoy the wooded hillsides and islets in hot sunshine.

Tomorrow we go round the corner of Brittany through the Chenal du Four back into the English Channel.
